Pilots,
I thought I would write you a message on what I am doing with Target Korea. For the time being I am not going to be putting up any new scenarios because of the making of a Master Scenario that I am creating. This Master Scenario will be an all encompassing scenario to be run on the server when a specialized scenario is not being run. It will allow for all aspect of the war to be experienced in one time frame. The basic rules will still be in place (no F-16’s in this war)but it will have many other aspects that have not be in Target Korea recently.
A set point system for scores and damage.
All bases will be populated as close to the actual (airframe on hand) as we can.
The war can be won of a threshold of points is reached.
And many others!
And other items as they present themselves. This will take a bit of time to put together and then test and repair. There are some points that I’ll have to ask in the development area to see if it is even possible.
So please do not think I have abandoned this MOD, far from it. It is I have picked a different approach to updating it and a quick fix will do more harm that good. As an example I have started programming again for work using PHP and VB.NET. I am mostly using PHP and have made a few PDA type apps for inventory and data adjustment via a internal web site. As far as this goes into Targetware, I am putting a set of web pages that will allow for making changes to the config file for the ease of changing information in it. I know I can just use a text editor, but that is not the point.
I will be rotating the current scenarios on the server and maybe Dean-O will be making another like his last Bridges scenario, but those also take time. Any ideas you might have are always welcome!
